Over the past week, I have given you all the ways I know to source DVDs & Blu-Ray discs for resell on eBay. I am going to consolidate all of that information into this one post.
Buying Lots on eBay to Resell
This is probably the largest source of used products you can find. There are hundreds of lots available at any given time that can bring you profit if you turn around and sell each DVD individually. I recommend you use the following two search links so you don’t miss any available lots in your search results:
DVD Lots
Blu-Ray Lots
Wholesale Suppliers
In the post “Wholesale Directory of DVD & Blu-Ray Suppliers“, I gave a wholesale list of all the distributors that I knew of. Just to recap, here are the largest two suppliers in North America:
Ingram
Baker & Taylor
Retail Sources
There are also opportunities to buy from online retailers and make some profit reselling on eBay. The lowest priced internet retailer in general is Deep Discount. In addition, retailers are all the time having huge sales that you can take advantage of. The best place to get information on the best sales is the DVD BARGAINS FORUM at DVDTALK.COM.
Local Sources
Pawn shops are the best source locally to find DVDs and Blu-Ray discs at unbelievable prices (especially if you buy a large quantity). See the recent post “Find DVDs & Blu-Ray Discs Locally To Resell On EBay” for more information on Pawn Shops.
Here are some other local sources:
- Garage Sales
- Flea Markets
- Used Book & Record Stores
- Thrift Stores
- Library Sales
- Retail Stores
DVDs are a huge seller on eBay. Now that you have the information where to find the products to resell, it is up to you to put in the work to get it done! Research, Research, Research and make sure the DVDs and Blu-Ray discs you are buying for resell will bring you a profit. Then, get the items listed and watch the profit roll in!!

On the first day of DVD/Blu-Ray week, I am going to cut to the chase and give the 2 largest DVD & Blu-Ray suppliers in North America. These are the big boys that supply many major retail chains, libraries, and online websites…
Ingram Entertainment
Baker & Taylor
These were my two main suppliers for merchandise to sell on eBay several years ago. I have did over $500k in business with these two companies and I highly recommend trying to get an account with both. Let me be up front with you and let you know they are not looking for a customer that is going to spend $1,000 a month… They are looking for $30k + per month customers to be able to get prices to be competitive on eBay. Don’t let that scare you though. I didn’t have close to that amount prior to getting an account but was able to negotiate with the sales I was going to get in the future.

I am going to have a DVD/Blu-Ray week on AuctionArena.com this week. Each day I will give a product source idea for DVDs & Blu-Ray discs. Several years ago DVDs were the primary product I sold on eBay. I have moved on from selling only DVDs, but I have tons of knowledge on where to source them.
