The Importance Of Reinvesting Your First EBay Profits

Tags:

I want to start off this post by letting you this is exactly what I did. I sell over $300,000 in merchandise every year on eBay and I have never invested a penny of my own money besides what I rolled back into the business.

One very important point when starting to sell on eBay is to not invest your own money right away. Instead roll every penny you make back into the business at first… If you have already sold everything you can find around your house and you have begged and pleaded with your friends and family to sell their extra stuff then you should have a nice little stack of cash ready to invest. However, if you use that money to pay bills or just have to have that new outfit, it will take you much longer to build enough money to get your eBay business rolling.

Not too long ago, I was teaching a friend how to sell on eBay. She sold things around her house and gathered enough seed money to start her eBay business. She actually had a nice niche on eBay carved out for herself selling vintage hats. However, she started spending more than she was making and before long didn’t have enough funds to continue the business.

Even if you do have the money laying around to invest, I suggest that you only use reinvested profits at first. You want to slowly ease your way onto eBay. By reinvesting just your profits you will pace yourself and learn everything you need to know to run a successful eBay business.

Even though you feel like you are going slow, that seed money will grow quicker than you think. Before long you will have enough money to really start growing your eBay empire plus have the knowledge under your belt to do it the right way.
